How Nantucket inspires everything I create—and what’s next behind the scenes

I always love sitting down to write these weekend notes—it feels like catching up over coffee. The last two weeks brought a welcome return to routine after a beautiful and relaxing trip to Nantucket. My husband and I had the best time– as always. We biked around the island more than ever, skipped the dinner reservations, and spent hours just soaking in the soft coastal light that makes that island feel like magic. Back home in Miami, I’m getting into my late summer schedule. Mornings with Goldie (she’s 1 1/2 years old now!) are such a joy—she follows me from room to room while I clean up, plan out the day, and sip my morning coffee. There’s still plenty of summer left here, but I can feel the early whispers of fall. Have you felt it, too? It’s subtle—maybe in the way the light hits a little differently, or how I’ve suddenly started craving fall candles and cashmere again. But, it’s still too soon! I’m loving this summer more than ever and want it to last a little longer.

Here’s what I’ve been loving and thinking about lately:

Reading something good
I finally picked up The Five-Star Weekend by Elin Hilderbrand while poolside at The Brant on Nantucket and couldn’t put it down. It felt extra fun reading her words on the island she writes about so often. Now I’m on the hunt for something equally beachy and cozy—if you have any recent favorites, send them my way!

Coastal home decor things
I ordered the most beautiful lily of the valley pillow covers this week and I’m so excited about them! I’m not sure where I’ll put them just yet—because truthfully, they’d look perfect in any room of my home. I’m also feeling ready to refresh our bedroom, and I put together a design collage with a few pieces I’m thinking of adding. A favorite style moment this week
